This month, meet Tim Withers, DVM, online vet for the Ask Sage column.

Dr. Tim Withers, hailing from Versailles, Kentucky, attended the University of Kentucky and graduated from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1990. Following 2 1/2 years practicing outside Philadelphia, Dr. Withers joined the Cherrydale Veterinary Clinic (Arlington, VA) staff in June 1993. Since then, he has nurtured the Senior Care program and has created the bimonthly newsletter and their website, as well as many client education materials.

Dr. Withers was named Cherrydale's Medical Director in February 1999. Dr. Withers enjoys traveling and playing with his three cats, Eddie, Tiger and Fred -- all adopted through his job at Cherrydale.

He provides excellent advice and veterinary resources to queries sent to the MetroPets Ask Sage column, some of which are reprinted in our MetroPets Offline quarterly newsletter.
