Do not be afraid to report abuse or neglect of an animal.

Where to report abuse

In the District of Columbia call (202) 723-5730) anonymously, 24 hours a day.

In Northern Virginia call the SPCA of Northern Virginia at (703) 799-9390. They are an all-volunteer group that have licensed Humane Investigators who investigate cases of cruelty/neglect/abandonment and remove animals from the home where necessary. www.spcanova.org

In Fairfax County call Animal Control at (703) 830-3310.

Iin Prince George's County call The SPCA/Humane Society of Prince George's County at 301-262-5625 and press mailbox 1. All calls are kept confidential. They are on call 24 hours a day for emergencies.
