The
Membership Coordinator is the primary point of contact
between potential members and MetroPets, and between
members and MetroPets' officers and Board of Directors.
Primary
Responsibilities:

Recruit MetroPets members from among animal welfare
organizations, animal health workers, animal-related
businesses, computer clubs and organizations, universities,
and the general public;
- Retain
MetroPets members by educating members about the services
that MetroPets provides, keeping informed of the services
that members wish to receive, and transmitting questions
and concerns of members to MetroPets' officers and
directors;
- Maintain
the database of metroPets members;
- Send
reminders for membership renewal;
- Communicate
regularly with members and supporters;
- Acknowledge
renewals of membership;
- Handle
incoming inquiries and explain the benefits of membership;
- Make
calls, as appropriate, and follow up on leads provided
by officers, directors, members, and others regarding
potential members.
Other
Responsibilities:
- Help
with the newsletter MetroPets Offline;
- Work
with the directors on membership criteria and fees;
- Encourage
volunteerism among members.
